Hi everyone,

It’s been 6 really great years of performing live across Australia and around the world, but it’s time for Little Red to say farewell, as the original members have parted ways.

After much thought and deliberation we are all in need of a new project.

* Dom and Adrian have a very exciting new band called New Gods, and are in the process of recording an EP with a single due out very soon. New Gods have also just been announced as support for The Rubens' September/October National tour - dates and details here.

* Quang's formed a new band, Naked Bodies and they are in the process of mixing a double a-side.

* Tom is now leading a new band called Major Tom and the Atoms, who have just launched an EP.

* Taka's band, The Hondas, have just finished recording a full-length album and will release their first single in October.

Highlights of our time as a band were many and often; we’ve released two albums that we're proud of in various countries, toured all around Australia, to Papua New Guinea, USA, Japan, Europe, performing at festivals including Meredith, Laneway, SXSW and many more. We’re so happy to have come this far – we’ve been given so many great opportunities and thank everyone who has helped us along the way.

Thank you to our fans – your ongoing support has been incredible.

'When you listen to Little Red's sophomore full-length (but first U.S. release), Midnight Remember, you can hear influences as seemingly disparate as Neil Young, Phoenix, Bruce Springsteen and U2. Taken together, however, these touches create a thoroughly modern album with a unique take on pop-rock. The Australian band has a knack for harmony and a sweetness in their melodies, both of which led them to having a hit single in their native land with "Rock It." The song is undeniably infectious, it's true, but this is certainly nowhere close to being one of those single-driven albums. Slug Magazine Review Little Red's Album Midnight Remember

Every track has something different to offer, but a few stand out among the crowd. “Slow Motion” captures the titled sentiment perfectly, with the combination of lyrics about “everyone moving so fast,” and the leisurely, major chord progressions and percussive piano in the background. If you’re looking for something a little bit more along the dance lines, there is “Rock It,” with a killer bass line and a chorus you can chant along with. The album is fresh, it has an interestingly unique sound, and it’s enjoyable to listen to. If you like fun and games, this is the album for you. –Kylie Cox

With guitars endearingly bandaged with duct tape and a set list scrawled on hotel stationery, the wildness of the crowd built and intensified, albeit in a good way, as the band tore through a solid eleven song set. A rare and unexpected double encore proceeded because fans refused to let up or more specifically, refused to stop dancing and cheering. Throughout their amazing yet short performance, Little Red was charismatic and extremely interactive with the audience, with lead vocalist Dominic Byrne coming out and singing in the crowd for their closing and most popular song, Rock It (which earned the band gold accreditation and second place in Triple J’s Hottest 100 tracks of 2010). The live version of their songs sounded almost identical to their album and videos, speaking to the bands truly unique and genuine vocals, timbre, range and overall quality of music. 5/11/11

What about yourself? I really love Beach Boys. I’m really excited about Smile Sessions coming out. Umm.. even though I’ve got bootlegs of it and stuff. Beach Boys is a really special one for me. Bob Marley is another one. I was just telling a friend the other night – I don’t think anyone can hate on Bob Marley. Who can knock Marley? I mean, there’s no point. He’s the one musician who has – what do you call it – a philosophy. Something really tangible. He walks the talk. I’m sorry, I gotta just.. there’s a march. I’m actually near.. The harmonies on Midnight Remember take the listener even further down Chicago’s favorite sons’ territory, bringing to mind that band’s salad days with the late Jay Bennett, offering homey, if skewed takes on Americana laced pop.
